Sourthridge Costume Day Rules for Friday!

Costume Day Rules

If you are thinking about that costume for Halloween here are some things to keep in mind regarding wearing costumes at school:

Rules and Expectations for Costume Day

1. No masks of any kind are allowed

   1. If you wear a mask the mask will be confiscated for the day

   2. Mask can be picked up after school

2. No excessive face paint of any kind is allowed

   1. Staff must be able to identify students vs non-students or intruders

   2. If you have excessive (to the point you cannot be identified) face paint you will have to remove it to stay at school

3. All costumes must be school appropriate and cannot violate the dress code

   1. No weapons of any kind

   2. All students must be appropriately covered

   3. No gang related costumes are allowed

   4. Costumes should not be offensive in any way

   5. No inflatables or other costumes that inhibit one’s ability to sit or move freely

   6. If any staff considers a costume inappropriate that student will need to report to the office and change out of the costume to stay at school

4. No hats or hoods are allowed in school

We thank you for your cooperation in this matter—it can be a fun day, but disruptions to the educational process cannot be tolerated.

Excessive violations will result in no costume days in the future.
