Our Mission

Southridge prepares students for success beyond high school by teaching them to be critical thinkers and positive, productive members of their community.

To promote student-centered classrooms, we will:

  • Provide clarity, consistency and accountability in interactions.
  • Integrate school-wide protocols and training to achieve shared goals.
  • Deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum by using challenging and rigorous adopted materials.
  • Monitor each student’s mastery of essential learning targets on an ongoing basis through individual and team-developed formative assessments.
  • Use evidence of student learning to inform and improve practice to better meet the needs of individual students.
  • Regularly update PowerSchool to inform parents and guardians of the progress of their student.

To promote student success beyond high school, we will:

  • Provide clear expectation and accountability.
  • Provide coursework that is connected to life beyond high school while offering diverse pathways for students.
  • Provide opportunities for students to work hard, persevere and develop a growth mindset while strengthening real-world critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
